Performance and Electric Power
The Solterra is made for adventure, named after the sun and the earth. So, you can head anywhere on this great big planet-the Solterra has standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, ensuring better traction even on slippery or uneven terrain.
If you're interested in heading off-road, the Solterra is prepared. It features 8.3 inches of ground clearance to maneuver over rocky terrain easily.
As an electric vehicle, there's no gas engine. The Solterra is powered by dual electric motors with an estimated 218 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque. The Solterra is expected to go over an EPA-estimated 220 miles on a full charge!2
On top of dual motors, the Solterra also offers four drive modes for different driving experiences:
- Eco
- Normal
- Power
- X-MODE
Inside the Solterra
The interior of the Solterra features a clean, minimalist design. The available panoramic glass roof offers additional natural light and a beautiful view of the sky for passengers.
To keep everyone comfortable, the Solterra has available StarTex-trimmed upholstery and high-quality, soft-touch materials in the cabin for a comfortable experience. The maximum cargo volume comes to an impressive 30.3 cubic feet. There's also up to 95.7 cubic feet of passenger volume, so no one feels squished.
Technology is a big part of the Solterra as well, with an available 12.3-inch touchscreen that houses the vehicle's infotainment system. Through this system, you can:

- Make hands-free calls
- Get directions
Driver-Assist and Safety Technologies
To help keep you safe while you're on the go, the Solterra comes equipped with driver-assist and safety technology features that are part of the EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology suite. Some of the standard features in this suite include:
- Blind Spot Monitor
- Lane Change Assist
- Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
- Parking Support Brake
On top of standard features like these, the Subaru Solterra also has an available 360-Degree Surround-View Camera system. This system uses multiple cameras to provide a complete view of the area around your Solterra so you can navigate potential obstacles.
If you've got children, a helpful standard feature is also the standard Safe Exit Assist. This feature warns riders in the vehicle if a vehicle is coming when they attempt to exit the Solterra.
