More Than Building a House - Alcir T
There is something special about the word home. Home is where you walk through the door after a long day and feel like you belong. It's where kids grow up. Where birthdays are celebrated. Where family dinners happen. Where holidays become traditions and ordinary days eventually become some of our favorite memories. And for one local family in Essex County, the dream of having a home of their own is becoming a reality. Recently, the team from Ira Subaru of Danvers had the opportunity to be a small part of that story. Through our partnership with Essex County Habitat for Humanity, Ira Subaru donated $35,256 to help Habitat continue its incredible work providing local families with safe, affordable homes. But we wanted to do more than hand over a check. So, we showed up. Members of our team put on their work gloves, picked up tools and spent the day alongside Habitat for Humanity helping build a home for a family we may not have known before that morning. And that's when the meaning of the day really began to sink in. Every board being carried, every nail being driven and every wall being built was bringing a family one step closer to the day when someone will hand them a set of keys and say: "Welcome home." Think about that for a moment. Someday, a child may wake up in that house on Christmas morning. Someone will celebrate a birthday there. A family will sit around the kitchen table talking about their day. There will be laughter inside those walls. Probably a few tears. There will be first days of school, graduations, family celebrations and countless little moments nobody could possibly predict today. We weren't just helping build a house. We were helping build the place where a family's life will happen. That's what made this day so meaningful to all of us at Ira Subaru. We spend our days helping people find vehicles that become part of their lives. The Subaru that brings a newborn home from the hospital. The Subaru packed with hockey bags on Saturday morning. The Subaru loaded up for a summer trip to the Cape or the mountains. The Subaru, a teenager eventually learns to drive. And, at the end of all those journeys, there is one destination that matters more than any other. Home. That's why our relationship with Habitat for Humanity means so much to us. Habitat doesn't simply give houses away. Families work alongside volunteers, contributing hundreds of hours of their own sweat equity toward building their homes before purchasing them with an affordable mortgage. They're investing in their own future. We're simply fortunate enough to help. Our General Manager, Roscoe Robinson, perhaps summed it up best: "We're proud of the $35,256 donation, but the check isn't really the story. The story is the family that's going to live here. It's knowing that years from now, when we're driving through this neighborhood, there's going to be a family inside this home making memories. To know that our team played even a small role in making that possible is something we'll always be proud of." Since 1985, Essex County Habitat for Humanity has helped more than 215 local families achieve the dream of homeownership. Now another family's story is being written. They'll see home. And for one day, the people of Ira Subaru were fortunate enough to help build it. Because at the end of the day: Cars help us get where we're going. Home gives us a reason to make the journey. And sometimes the most important thing we can build isn't something we sell at all. It's something we build together.

We are committed to serving our community, as reflected in our mission statement: "Helping others strengthens communities." In alignment with this commitment, Ira Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to providing children with the resources they need to succeed. These essential items not only ensure children are protected, warm, and dry but also contribute positively to their mental and emotional well-being.
IRA Subaru Celebrates Animal Shelter - ELIE E
During Subaru Loves Pets, we had the privilege of hosting a Dog Adoption Day on October 18, 2025, in collaboration with Cape Ann Animal Shelter. Cape Ann is a no-kill organization dedicated to facilitating the proper placement of adoptable animals and enhancing the lives of all companion animals through education and outreach to promote respect and well-being. IRA Subaru is committed to improving the lives of animals in shelters. On that day, our store was filled with love as Cape Ann brought three adorable puppies. We contributed pet care kits to support the new pet owners. Our mission at IRA Subaru is to make a positive difference in the lives of animals and their families. We sincerely thank Cape Ann and its team for hosting this meaningful event. Additionally, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to the families who opened their hearts to these wonderful pets.

Ira Subaru firmly believes that all students are entitled to an equal opportunity to receive a quality education. We are dedicated to giving back to our community, particularly in the realm of education. On September 29, 2025, we had the honor of visiting Center Elementary School, where we donated school supplies and engaged in reading activities with the students. We captured photographs during the visit, and the students graciously created an appreciation poster, which we proudly displayed in our showroom. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this meaningful day possible. Together, we can work towards creating a brighter future.
IRA SUBARU OF DANVERS MAKES $40,000 DONATION TO ESSEX COUNTY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY - Manny F
DANVERS, Mass., (June 18, 2025) – Ira Subaru, located on Andover St. in Danvers, presented a check totaling $41,038 to the Essex County Habitat for Humanity on June 18. Additionally, Ira Subaru employees rolled up their sleeves by volunteering their time to help build a home for a well-deserving family selected by Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live. It helps families achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance needed to build better lives for themselves. The check presentation, along with the volunteer home-building event took place: 9 a.m., Wed., June 18, 2025 436 Ashbury St. Hamilton, MA Management from Ira Subaru and Subaru of New England were on hand for the check presentation. “Habitat for Humanity does a phenomenal job of helping families get a leg up on owning their own place to live, and we’re proud to support such a worthwhile organization, not only financially but also with our employees’ volunteering their time to help construct the home,” said Roscoe Robinson, General Manager of Ira Subaru. “Supporting local communities is part of our DNA, and our donation represents Ira Subaru's legacy of positive change that will benefit future generations.” Ira Subaru has a long history of supporting local communities through its philanthropic activities, and this donation to Habitat for Humanity is yet another example of that decades-long commitment to improving lives in Essex County and beyond. For the past 10 years, Subaru of America and its retailers have partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. The partnership has involved delivering blankets, patient care kits, and messages of hope to cancer patients across the country. On June 20th, Ira Subaru personally delivered these items to Mass General Cancer Center in Danvers. These blankets, patient care kits, and messages of hope provide warmth and comfort to cancer patients during treatment. This year, Ira Subaru also opted to support the LLS Urgent Need Program, which will provide blood cancer patients financial relief to help offset non-medical costs associated with treatment, such as transportation, food, housing, utilities, etc. The love and support shared through this cherished partnership means a lot to everyone involved! Ira Subaru has once again shown its deep commitment to the community by partnering with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to bring comfort and care to those battling cancer. As part of the Subaru Loves to Care initiative, Ira Subaru delivered 80 cozy blankets and 10 thoughtful patient care kits to the Mass General Cancer Center in Danvers. Each blanket and care kit came with a handwritten message of hope from Ira Subaru's customers and staff—a powerful reminder that no one faces cancer alone. In addition to these heartfelt gifts, Ira Subaru generously donated $5,000 to the LLS Urgent Need Pediatric and Young Adult Program. This contribution will directly support 10 families, providing up to $500 each for essential non-medical expenses such as transportation, car repairs, insurance, groceries, and childcare. The staff at Mass General Cancer Center Danvers proudly joined Ira Subaru in this meaningful effort to spread hope, love, and warmth throughout the local community and beyond. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Ira Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Ira Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 02/10/2025, Ira Subaru donated 300 coats to Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

I am a loyal IRA Subaru customer for 20 years. I recently participated in IRA's celebration of Arbor Day and picked up my tree from the Danvers dealership to plant in my backyard. IRA has done a great job of embodying the Subaru brand image that supports everything from an active lifestyle to supporting the community. Everyone from the sales managers to the sales staff are a pleasure to work with and take the pressure off of purchasing and owning my Subarus. The Subaru love promise campaign is a great example of the caring culture of the IRA dealership and one that I truly appreciate and support. Subaru Loves Pets Month On October 19, IRA Subaru proudly partnered with Cape Ann Animal Aid—a dedicated no-kill shelter—to celebrate Subaru Loves Pets Month. Over the past 23 years, Cape Ann Animal Aid has successfully paired more than 1,300 dogs with loving families, and we were thrilled to support their mission of finding forever homes for adoptable pets. Event Highlights: 🐾 Grants for Shelter Animals: Through funding administered by the ASPCA, IRA Subaru is helping improve the lives of shelter animals. 🐾 Adoption Success: Cape Ann Animal Aid staff brought adorable adoptable pets to our store, where they met their forever families. Three Labrador puppies and a singleton found their new homes with a joyful Subaru family! 🐾 Pet Care Kit Donations: To support new pet owners, IRA Subaru donated pet care kits to families who adopted pets during the event. This meaningful collaboration underscores our commitment to making a difference in the lives of animals and their families.
