About the Studio & Its Owner
At Karen's Ballroom Dancing & Fitness, you're encouraged to get moving, no matter your skill level.
The studio is open to all levels. Whether you're just learning how to dance or are looking to increase your proficiency level, you're welcome to take a class here.
Owner and Ballroom Instructor Karen Batchelder has been teaching dance professionally for over 30 years. Between her experience and personal style of teaching, she's become a highly sought-after instructor in the northern Boston area.
This is the case for professional dancers, lovers of fitness, or couples preparing for the first dance at their wedding. Whatever brings you to this dance studio, Karen will provide the kind of quality instruction you deserve.
Classes You Can Take
There
are two main types of classes to take here: Ballroom and Fitness. With
Ballroom, they have classes specifically for beginner, intermediate, and
advanced dancers. These include:
- Waltz
- Rhumba
- Quickstep

You could even take private lessons for your wedding day. The instructor will show brides and grooms how to look natural and elegant as they take their first dance together as husband and wife.
If you instead just want to get some exercise, try one of their fitness programs, such as Zumba. This 45-minute, high-energy class focuses on cardio-based dance movements. They're easy to follow and target areas like legs, arms, and core. Previous dance experience isn't needed. Rather, they just want you to get out there and have fun!
Learn to Appreciate the Art of Dance
As we mentioned before, dancing provides a plethora of health and wellness benefits. So, we encourage you to get on the dance floor and have a good time.
